WHAT HAPPENS AT THE APPOINTMENT?
If you decide to proceed after assessment and consent, the area is prepared and the agreed product is placed using an appropriate injection technique. Comfort measures and the treatment approach are discussed beforehand. Ask which product will be used and how any complication would be managed.
RECOVERY AND RESULTS
Swelling, bruising and tenderness can occur, so the immediate appearance is not the settled result. Results and duration vary with the product, area and individual. Follow your personalised aftercare and review advice rather than judging the outcome immediately.
RISKS TO UNDERSTAND
Possible problems include infection, lumps, asymmetry and delayed inflammatory reactions. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel, causing tissue damage or serious vision problems. Sudden vision changes or severe, unusual pain need urgent medical assessment; do not wait for a routine review.
